Chloe Lolyn and Ianto 2025

"I commenced my lessons with Rebecca in summer 2022. I had been struggling with flatwork issues with my 11 year old Welsh part bred, Iolyn, for a couple of years. I had his teeth, back and everything checked and it was all fine so I figured the problem lay with my riding. Other instructors I had been to just kept trying to correct Iolyn rather than addressing the root of the difficulties - which was me!

Rebecca took us both back to basics, and while it took a while - there are no quick fixes - we are now making great progress. Rebecca has also been working with my youngster, a willing section D who is now nearly six. We started him with Rebecca teaching me how to long line then lunge him and how to correct and rebalance, before gently backing him and riding forward. Short rides increased as I learnt how to teach him the leg, hand then the seat aids. He is making great strides in all paces after a steady start and I look forward to my lessons immensely as every time there are 'wow' moments.

I am so glad I found Rebecca. Her patience and her carefully considered and analytical approach to riding instruction means I have learnt more from her in the last 2 years than I learnt in the previous ten from others. Thank you!"

Loraine Gayle

I have known Rebecca for over 25 years and during that time she has helped me with the development and care of my horses.  She is knowledgeable and conscientious but the most important thing for me is her level of commitment in getting the job done.  She is a person of integrity and has always treated my horses as if they were her own. I have no hesitation in recommending Rebecca as either a trainer or a coach, you will not be disappointed in what she can offer!

Kym and Alaska

My horses and I have been working with Rebecca for almost 10 years now. Firstly with my ex-racer Herbie, who was in desperate need of rehabilitation. Rebecca really helped us to connect, and taught Herbie how to accept the bit and bend around corners! More recently, in the past 3 years I've been working with Rebecca to keep my 22 Irish Draft, Alaska, supple, strong and happy. We've both come on leaps and bounds and started to explore more dressage principles, whilst keeping Alaska's health at the forefront of everything we work on. Rebecca's knowledge and expertise is invaluable.'

Jess, Darcy and Kaytano

Rebecca has been working with me and my horses for the past 10 years. With me starting at a young age with my first horse Darcy a very relaxed Irish cob, she taught me the basics in a schooling environment and how to communicate with a horse whilst riding. My current horse Kaytano a Irish Draught X was a bit more tricky, he came from an inexperienced nervous owner who couldn’t cope with his behaviour and as a result he was going to be put down. We have worked on calming and teaching him to bring his head down, us his back and relax. Three years later we are now learning basic dressage and he’s a completely different horse.

Janet and James Mortimer

March 2021 Rebecca ‘literally’ walked into our lives to become our guide for Eli, Winston and James.
We recommend Rebecca to anyone who needs help in whichever direction of horse schooling, her confidence and knowledge has worked wonders for both our horses.
Now one year on watching James and Rebecca working together, James riding Eli and Winston in harness being long reined is a wonderful sight to see.
Thanks to her patience and directions our wonderful but anxious Shire and our 7-year-old ‘teenage’ Percheron have both become calmer and responsive horses.
Cinderella had a Fairy Godmother, the Banks family had Mary Poppins, the Mortimers have Rebecca.

I met Rebecca purely by chance and how lucky was I , I am an older horse owner and rider ,well into my seventies so a riding lesson for me back in the day consisted of ,kick to start pull to stop ,absolutely no mention of changing diagonal or even why ,and lightening the seat or moving the quarters over didn’t enter into the subject ,within a relatively short space of time Rebecca not only transformed my position and ability to ride better she also helped my horse who had quite a few issues ,she has a wealth of knowledge , infinite patience and a genuine love of horses all with a calm manner ,she rewards the smallest of improvement with a ,well done Sally, and that to me is everything ,a brilliant coach for the rider young or old ,and an excellent trainer for the horse .

Student Coach, Molly Dowling.

Rebecca has been coaching me through my BHS Coaching stages and I couldn't have found a better coach. Throughout everything we do, Rebecca makes sure that the horse is at the centre and I have learned so much about how to be an advocate for our equine friends. I have improved more in the last 6 months than I have in the last 6 years, which is all down to Rebecca's teaching style. She teaches me not just what to do, but why, which has enabled me to carry on with my learning even when I'm not having a lesson. Having Rebecca as my coach has opened up so many more opportunities for me and I feel ready to take on the challenges of BHS training. Rebecca always goes above and beyond as this is clearly her passion. Throughout my training for the stages, Rebecca has always taught me more than the basics, ensuring I have a deep knowledge of both horse care and exercise. I hadn't realised how much knowledge and skills I was missing out on until I changed my coaching to Rebecca, she is worth every penny and more. Thank you for seeing my potential and being a cheerleader, something that is sadly lacking in the equestrian community.

Rebecca's support and guidance was invaluable when i was bringing on my young dressage horse. I was keen to start this mare slowly and mindfully. At the time Nohla was an untouched three year with lots of power and no understanding of how to harness it. Rebecca's approach was calm, kind and confident.  With her expert help Nohla mastered all the basics at home before starting her training with Olympian Beck Moody.  Thank you Rebecca - we couldn't have done it without you.
